Explore the following guide to understand the sequential actions required to create a Smartsheet Klon efficiently.
Go to app.klonup.com
1. Click "Add New"
From "Your Klons" screen. Click "Add New" to start creating a new Klon.
2. Click Name Field
Click on Name Field and fill the Klon Name
3. Go Domain field
Navigate to Domain field and fill the company or area name to which the Klon will have access.
4. Open Status Klon options
Select the status of the Klon.
5. Click "Active"
Choose ‘Active’ if you want to be able to add tasks to the Klon and have them run.
6. Go to Base URL
Select where the Smartsheet account you are going to link is located.
7. It has 2 locations
If the Smartsheet account is on dot Com, then select ‘General’. If it is set to dot EU, then select ‘EU’.
8. Click Timezone
If the time zone doesn't match yours, click on the 'Time Zone' field and delete its contents.

10. Choose the language for notifications.
Select the language in which you want Klon to send its notifications.
11. You have two options
Currently, notifications can be sent in Spanish or English
12. API Key or Token
In this field, you'll need to save your Smartsheet API Key or Token. We'll create it in the following steps
13. Click "Account"
Go to Smartsheet and log in with the account that Klon will be using. Then, click on your profile
14. Click "Personal Settings..."
Click on "Personal Settings..." to access personalization options.
15. Click "API Access"
Choose "API Access" from the menu.
16. Click "Generate new access token"
Click on "Generate new access token" to create a new token.
17. Enter the name of the Token or API Key
Enter the name of the Token or API Key. Using a descriptive name is recommended. It might be a good idea to identify it with the name of the Klon.
18. Click "OK"
Click "OK" to confirm the action.
19. Copy the Token or API Key value
Select and copy the Token or API Key value. Please note that once this window is closed, you will no longer have access to this value
20. Paste the Token or API Key value

21. Click "Validate Api Key"
Click on "Validate Api Key" to proceed.
22. Check that it validates correctly
Make sure that the message appears indicating that the API Key has been validated successfully.
23. Click "Save"
Click on "Save" to save the changes.
24. There you can see your created Klon
Now your new Klon appears in the 'Your Klons' list.
