In two lines
Smartsheet sets a limit: you cannot copy a space or a folder with more than 100 items.
Klonup will notify you with a red banner. To proceed, choose only the folders in the space that are below 100.
Why do I see a red warning?
When you try to copy a space or a folder with more than 100 items (sheets, reports, dashboards, or forms), Smartsheet does not allow you to continue. Klonup detects this and shows you a warning so you can adjust your selection.
What you can do (quick solutions)
Option A: Select specific folders
Open the space and check only the folders that have ≤100 items (you will see the number in brackets next to the name).Option B: Distribute content into several folders
If a folder exceeds 100, go to Smartsheet and divide its content into two or more folders, each with less than 100. Then return to Klonup and select them.
Note: For now, Klonup does not back up isolated subfolders.
Recommended steps
In Create/Edit Task, find your space and expand it.
If the space has more than 100, do not check it completely.
Check folders with ≤100.
If any exceed 100, divide it in Smartsheet and return.
Review the options (time, frequency, etc.) and Save.
Quick examples
✅ Space with 70 items: you can copy the entire space.
✅ Space with 135 items: copy loose folders that are below 100.
❌ Folder with 120 items: cannot be copied as is. Distribute its content.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as an "item"?
Sheets, reports, dashboards, and forms.
Can I force the copy of the entire space if it has more than 100?
No. It is a limit of Smartsheet itself.
Why are subfolders not copied?
To keep the copy stable and clear. If you need to include what is inside, select it as independent folders below 100.
